Wollongong Women Artists Celebrating International Women’s Day 2012
A group exhibition of local Wollongong women artists celebrating International Women’s Day 2012. The exhibition will acknowledge and celebrate their work, their creative abilities and commitment to the arts in Wollongong.
The exhibition includes twelve local women artists who work in a variety of mediums.
The exhibition is to be curated by Sue Bessell.
Artists include: Joni Braham, Liz Jeneid, Kathy Orton, Moira Kirkwood, Clare Wallace, Greer Taylor, Geraldine Lefoe, Alenna Kennedy, Jasmine Carter, Mai Long, Sue Smallkowski and Sue Bessell.

Friday March 2nd
International Women’s Day Launch Luncheon
This event brings together women from across the region to recognise and celebrate the achievements and successes of women in the region. It is also an opportunity to highlight and discuss the challenges that women still face.
The launch for the activities will occur at this Annual Luncheon where our committee will also have the pleasure of announcing individual scholarships to deserving women of the Illawarra.
This year the committee will be raising funds for the Older Women’s Network. Financial support will help to support the delivery of programs and learning opportunities, which previously were out of financial reach.

Join us at the annual Status of Women Luncheon where awards will be presented to the winners of “Young Women in Public Affairs” and “Business/Professional Woman of the Year” for 2012, in recognition of their achievements.

Brunch at BlueScope –- Event for High School Students
By Invitation only.
This is an opportunity for students from local High Schools to learn from the wisdom of women from there community. Guest speakers live or have lived, and/or work in the Illawarra area.
All have succeeded in attaining their goals in different fields of endeavour. Our guest speakers are Associate Professor in Applied Statistics Janette Green from the University of Wollongong, Councilor Janice Kershaw from Wollongong City Council, artist Robyn de Velte, and Kareena Cracknell, owner and director of Crackweld Pty Ltd.
